Fjällbacka Sweden
Today we took the Mini Coop and drove to a little town along the coast of Sweden called Fjällbacka. We met up with some friends of mine that I worked with at Fair Hills Resort, Torin and Ingalill who live in Gothenburg Sweden. They also brought their adorable 4 year old daughter Ylva who kept us on our toes and gave us some good laughs. We chose Fjällabacka because it was half way for both of us and looked like a beautiful coastal town. As we drove there we had to get off on what I would call a goat trail of a road. Everyone here drives small economical cars which are perfect for these goat trail roads. Even with our small car Jared got a little nervous a few times. The road has no lines other than white on the outside and barely fit 2 European cars. We made it and we're amazed at the beautiful scenery with blue water and many rocky islands. We ate lunch at the Bryggan Restaurant which was right on the water. We sat outside and watched a few boats come in as well as seagulls and enjoyed a great meal. We then just walked around the small coastal community and enjoyed looking at all the small beautiful houses. We then decided to take a hike up the Vetteberget Mountain for the best view of the town. There was lots of steps, rough terrain and questionable rocks but totally worth the effort. Once at the top u could see everything around the town along with the gorgeous view of the costal islands. We just chilled on top of the mountain and chatted and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We then headed down and treated ourselves to a delicious and well deserved ice cream cone and reminisced of old times. Finally it was time to say our goodbyes and off we went back to Oslo for a good nights sleep. Tomorrow we are off to Rollag Norway for some family history!
